MHS Wins 2nd Place at Automotive Top Tech Competition!

Congratulations to our Marana High School Students who won second place at the Universal Technical Institute Top Tech Challenge! 
 
Marana High School students Tyler Martin and Jeffrey Nelson won second place at the Universal Technical Institute Top Tech Challenge last month.The students won $7,500 UTI tuition grants + a Snap-on tool chest and tool set ($3,414value).

FUN FACT: The MHS auto team has placed in the top 3 for the past 5 years in this challenge!

Close to 50 high school juniors and seniors from Arizona and Nevada competed in automotive and welding skills tests at UTI-Avondale. Automotive teams competed in both written tests and hands-on competitions in the following disciplines: parts, identification, brake problems, climate control, electrical problems and a written Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) test.  A panel of UTI-Avondale instructors served as judges.
