Marana Vista Academy: Attend Info Nights & Apply for 2025-26 Enrollment
Opening this August 2025 for the 25-26 school year, Marana Vista Academy is a new high school experience for students, offering tailored educational learning experiences for 9th - 12th grade students in the Marana Unified School District. Called “Vista” for short, the new program is hosting Informational Sessions for interested families and students to learn more before the Vista application opens on January 21, 2025.
Vista students benefit from a small campus and can dive deeper into academic subjects of interest while developing professional skills that will prepare them for future careers, education, and opportunities. Designated learning spaces expand the footprint of Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes such as Business Management, Lab Assisting (Medical), along with the District’s Dental Assisting program currently housed at Marana Health Center.
“Students will participate in project-based activities that allow them to customize their education to their needs, strengths, and interests,” said Laura Goligoski, Vista Educational Services Coordinator. “Students receive personalized instruction based on their learning styles, and they are given ownership of their learning. It’s an empowering model for motivated learners.”
Marana Vista Academy will be housed in a renovated building updated to provide a modern, flexible, and inspiring learning environment located at 8333 N Silverbell Rd., Marana, AZ. The program will eventually accommodate up to 400 students who will remain concurrently enrolled at Marana High or Mountain View High Schools. Vista students may participate in electives, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities at their home high school and the students will explore specific topics, concepts, and skills through their core subjects at the Academy.
Vista classes are taught in-person, not online. Transportation will be provided for students from other MUSD high schools. Attend a Marana Vista Academy Info Session to learn more about:
- The student's educational experience
- The Vista campus and what students can expect
- Meet school staff
- Ask questions
The MVA application opens on January 21, 2025.

Vista: The First State-Funded K-12 Renovation Project in Arizona
With MUSD’s high schools at maximum student capacity, the District purchased the 34,700-square-foot building and surrounding land for $4.2 million in 2020. In 2021, the Arizona Department of Administration School Facilities Division approved $12.2 million in new school facilities money to renovate the building and move forward with the plan. This marked the first time the State approved using new school facilities funding to renovate an existing building. No bond funds were used to invest in the program.
“Renovation of the existing building has not been a simple refresh, and we have been intentional with the space,” said Dr. Streeter, superintendent. “It has been an opportunity to reinvent a high school campus so that it can inspire and better serve students with modern and future-focused teaching methods.”
